Review on Broken Frontier

The third and longest review so far of 566 Frames. It appeared on the comic book and graphic novel news site Broken Frontier – written (beautifully!) by Conori Bell-Bhuiyan.

"For a book that contains the harsh brutalities of war, fighting, bombs and rage 566 Frames is a surprisingly gentle graphic novel. The whole book is a reflection, a look back through the hazy mists of time."

"[...] a story of endings and beginnings, history and living in the moment, recognizing your past and looking forward to the future."

"566 Frames takes an approach to storytelling that is not only unique and innovative, but at the same time universal and timeless."

Review on Comic Book Resources

Second review of 566 Frames – this time in Sonia Harris' top 10 of weird biographical comics on Comic Book Resources thus placing it next to timeless books such as Persepolis by Satrapi, Buddha by Tezuka and Bechdel's Are You My Mother: A Comic Drama.

"Combining familial anecdotes with his own fractured memories creates a wonderfully organic glimpse directly into narrators life, and those of his ancestors too. Darting back and forth across time and space the book is rich with emotionally communicative imagery. Wojda’s story is delightfully warm and alive, sweeping the reader along in his dreamlike tales..."
